I unwittingly came up with the idea for Pensieve Biographies over 30 years ago when I created a memory book for my friend who was getting married. I asked all of the Hen Celebration guests to complete a series of questions about her and accompany these with photos and memorabilia. As I worked in the creative industry, I was able to piece it together with the help of a fantastic team of graphic designers. I also had access to incredible publishing software and high quality printing facilities, so the finished product was a very professional 30-page book, way ahead of it’s time. To this day, the friend still cites this as the best gift she has ever received, it sits proudly on her book shelf and she still uses it to reminisce. I wish I had considered it as a commercial idea back then, but the thought never crossed my mind. Now memory books have become big business, but most of the off-the-shelf (or web nowadays) are not truly unique.

Fast forward to today, I have the best job in the world - meeting new people, telling their stories, immortalising memories and creating the very best gifts for people’s loved ones to treasure.
